Vermont’s beautiful countryside and inviting small downtowns beckon visitors near and far year round, but especially as summer draws to an end and fall foliage begins. Again in 2025, Dakin Farm welcomes group tours at our Ferrsiburgh location — with two large parking lots, we can easily accommodate tour buses. Winter, spring, summer and fall, there’s always something delicious and interesting waiting for you at the farm.

Sam Cutting, Jr. President of Dakin Farm enjoys giving tours himself, and is well suited to do so — after all, Sam has worked here at Dakin Farm since he was five years old! Sam will lead your group through the Sugar House, where guests can view photo collages, maple sugar equipment, rotating images of Maple Sugaring in Vermont and a short video of the Dakin Farm story.
On certain days, guests can view staff bottle our own Pure Vermont Maple Syrup or smoking meats, spiraling hams or hand-waxing cheese.
Hands down, Dakin Farm produces the best pure Vermont maple syrup, smoked meats (including cob-smoked bacon and ham), and aged cheddar cheese. We also partner with Cabot Cheese as well as offer a variety of other Vermont products, such as jams, jellies, fudge, and maple-flavored treats. Your taste buds are in for a real treat when you visit us!
We’ve hand selected some of the best Vermont-made products and proudly sell them in our 6,000 square foot retail store – from Goat’s Milk to Clothing to Lotions and Kitchenware – where you’re sure to find a piece of Vermont to take home with you.

It’s just a few minutes from the airport, University of Vermont, local shopping and the lakefront. During the summer months, the South Burlington store is busy with kids and adults alike who stop by to enjoy a Maple Creamee, made with our own Pure Vermont Maple Syrup, or see the tractor we’ve got outside the store – yup, right on the sidewalk!
